Finding Your Voice
I have received a lot of emails lately asking me a variety of questions. They range from what type of camera body I recommend, to what is my favorite lens, to how I market a growing business. Those are just a few. I try to answer every email I get, always with honesty, but for some reason I am never left feeling very satisfied as I hit send.
Because it is more than that.
Every photo I take and share is really an extension of myself. It is a direct reflection of what is or was going on in my head at the time I made the image. I am using my life experiences paired with my technical knowledge to share my voice with you through an image.
That is why I was so excited to come across this article about finding your voice. Cameron said what I was having the hardest time putting into words.
If you are an aspiring photographer. Go read this article. Let it sink in. Think about it. Decide what it means to you.
Finding your voice may take time, energy, and dedication. But I believe that if you put your heart and soul into the search, you'll find it. In fact, I'm confident you will. When you do, share it with me, I would love to hear what you're saying.

Great post Erin, and top link. I definitely agree with the 'shoot, shoot and shoot some more' philosophy. I've shot more images this year than I ever have before and I think it's helping me improve my photography in leaps and bounds!
