I take a lot of photos of friends and family and I have always found that burning a CD is too troublesome for me. I hate burning them and then trying to figure out a good time for them to come get it or going to the post office to mail it. Either way I'm stuck with the majority of the work.
Why can't I just send them over the internet?
Well now I can. Thanks to my friend Dawn, who shared this site with me. I have been playing with it the last week or so and sending files to friends + family that have been sitting on my hard drive for far too long.
It is called http://drop.io and it is free, free, free. You can drop files up to 80mb, add notes, hyperlinks, etc. Have a drop that is over 80 mb? You can upgrade to premium for that drop if you like. Or, you don't have to pay a thing and do what I did, and create multiple drops with the same file name and vary it a bit.
If you want to see what it looks like I have created a demo drop at http://drop.io/missgracie
No more burning for me!
