(If you are easily offended by natural bodily functions, then you probably want to leave now)
Whenever I go to a shoot, my goal is to document the dog(s) as they are.
No matter what, I am always shooting.
So it is only natural, that I end up with a variety of potty shots.
And I thought I would share a few, because really, they just make me laugh.
My sister finally sent me a picture of Winston hanging above her piano. I am so happy with how it turned out.
The canvas is 24" x 48" and is actually the first one I have ordered in color.
We are both really happy with it. I love printing an image onto canvas because it turns into a true piece of fine art.
A few tidbits here and there:
- I have been working my rear end off the last few weeks on my latest submission to my stock agency. It is my largest yet and it just went out in the mail this morning. I am currently signed with Photolibrary. I really like them because they practice business with not only their customer in mind, but the artist as well. They also have one of the best commission structures around. They have approximately 13 subsidiaries and one of the ones I love the most is Monsoon Images (www.monsoonimages.com). Check them out and search by dog. I am happy to have my images amongst their collection.
- A new blog is coming soon. I have been getting familiar with Wordpress for awhile now and I'm ready to move to something that will allow me to post larger images as well as to sit on my own server. I probably will not be carrying over my archives to the new format but will maintain a linkback.
- It is spring and spring means good weather. It also means that I only have 1 weekend slot left in April and things are filling up fast. If you have been putting off a session, now is the time to at least get on the calendar. Email me for more info.
- I am so bummed I didn't go to WPPI this year. I am going next year for sure. Come party with me.
- I will be doing some portfolio shooting in the next few weeks to fulfill some creative visions I have had swimming in my head lately. I hope to share some fun stuff once I'm done.
- Finally, I want to welcome my new readers from Danes Online. Somehow one of my posts ended up in their newsletter and I've had quite a few hits over the last week because of it. I'm happy to have you here!
That's it for now.
. . . . .
Here is Miss Gracie's chest hair, for your viewing pleasure.
On days when I'm needing a little bit more inspiration than normal, I get out my little book that I collect stuff in and read these words by Nelson Mandela. They are in the very front. I love them. Especially the words in bold.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
